- Baking Soda aluminum foil, and salt:one tablespoon of salt. one tablespoon of baking soda. one tablespoon of dawn, one cup of hot water, and aluminum foil. for tools you will need an old toothbrush, a towel, and a bowl. start by warming up one cup of water until it’s very hot. in a separate bowl line the bowl with the aluminum foil and add your baking soda, salt, and dawn soap. then pour your hot water over top and mix it well. drop your jewelry in and let it sit for 30 minutes. after soaking pull your jewelry out and get an old toothbrush to scrub them. rinse with cold water, then buff dry with a cloth.Lemon Juice:mix one part of water and one part of lemon juice to create a soak for your jewelry. place jewelry in a bowl for 10-15 minutes. if it has not gotten all of the dirt and grime off of the pieces then give your jewelry a quick rinse and place it back into the mixture for a few more minutes. once the pieces are new again, rinse again with cool water. (just a little) then buff dry with a clean cloth.
